Esistono due modi di contribuire
al benessere collettivo
o come un pozzo d’acqua fresca
disponibile a soddisfare la sete
di chi ne faccia espressa richiesta
e sia pronto a far lo sforzo
di sollevare da sé l’acqua
o come un serbatoio sopraelevato
pronto a liberamente soddisfare
il fabbisogno di benevolenza
d’una intera comunità
prendendosi in prima persona
la responsabilità d’esser pieni
d’ispirazione e altruismo
attraverso la costante ideazione
di essere l’infinito.

Sono tanti a vivere come rane
nel pozzo d’umanità limitata
ai propri bisogni e poco più
non esponendosi mai
oltre le ordinarie formalità
e pensando d’esser fortunati
al poter vedere a volte il sole e la luna
transitare il proprio spicchio di cielo
ma come paragonare tale limitata gioia
all’essere di continuo baciati e abbracciati
dalla gloriosa luce dell’alba e del tramonto
poiché ricche fonti di condivisione
di quell’umanità che abbonda
nelle scarsamente esplorate
ma incredibilmente floride regioni
del misterioso cuore umano.

There are two ways to contribute
to common welfare
as fresh water wells
willing to satisfy the thirst
of those who expressly request
and are ready to make the effort
of lifting themselves the water
or as a water tank
ready to freely supply
the benevolence needs
of an entire community
taking on oneself
the responsibility of being filled
of inspiration and selflessness
through the constant ideation
of being the infinite.

Many are those living like frogs
in the limited humanity well
of one’s needs and little more
never exposing themselves
beyond ordinary formalities
and thinking of being lucky
to see sometimes the sun and the moon
transit their own slice of sky
but how to compare such limited joy
to being continually kissed and embraced
by the glorious light of dawn and sunset
because of being rich sharing sources
of that humanity that abounds
in the scarcely explored
but incredibly florid regions
of the mysterious human heart.
