Ieri abbiamo avuto un incontro dei volontari per il progetto ‘La Sorgente del Lavoro’, presso la sede della Fondazione Stella Polare Onlus, organizzato per fare il punto sul progresso dei lavori di ristrutturazione necessari alle attività sociali che intendiamo svolgere Angeli Custodi di Catania, ma anche per pianificare la cooperazione con la vicina scuola media Tempesta.
Martedì, infatti, una delegazione dei volontari incontrerà il preside e alcuni insegnanti di tale scuola per pianificare tre attività a sostegno degli adolescenti del quartiere che frequentano la scuola, che riteniamo anche utili per far conoscere i nostri volontari e il senso del progetto ai suoi beneficiari: i ragazzi.
Condurremo laboratori di danza, pittura e anche doposcuola, ai quali faremo ogni volta precedere un breve esercizio di concentrazione, per introdurre gradualmente il concetto di consapevolezza sensoriale e quindi porre le basi per il rispetto di tutto ciò che esiste e si esprime intorno ad ogni essere.
Siamo tutti molto ispirati di iniziare tale processo di avvicinamento con i ragazzi, che abbiamo brevemente incontrato in classe e che nel loro precoce atteggiarsi ad adulti, fanno tanta tenerezza e stimolano la più amorevole delle condivisioni. ?
Yesterday we had a meeting of the volunteers for the project ‘La Spring of Work’, at the headquarters of the Polar Star Onlus Foundation, organized to review the progress of the new structure’s renovation work needed for the social activities we intend to carry out at Catania’s Guardian Angels neighbourhood, but also to plan cooperation with the nearby Tempesta junior high school.
Tuesday, in fact, a volunteers delegation will meet with the principal and some teachers of the school to plan three activities in support of the neighbourhood teenagers attending school there, activities also helpful in letting the children know our volunteers and the sense of the project.
We shall conduct dance and painting workshops and also after-school tuition, every time preceded by a short concentration exercise, to gradually introduce the concept of sensory awareness and thus lay the foundation for the respect of all that exists and is expressed around each being.
We are all very inspired to start this process of rapprochement with the children, whom we briefly met at their classrooms, also because seeing them in their precocious posturing as adults, really generates so much tenderness and stimulates the most loving of sharing. ?
